Hi,
I am trying to develop a finite element code to capture the residual stresses during the cooling of a viscoelastic body.
Can anyone suggest references or papers that address the finite element formulation of a thermoviscoelastic problem? I have found a couple of papers, but they do not seem to directly apply to what I want.

I am not aware of the papers dealing with the topic you are studying but if you are not already aware of, this may be helpful to you. There is a database "web of science" where you can find such papers by searching for appropriate keywords. you can find link to that database thro' your library website. once you will find at least one paper then you can find the rest by the list of referred papers.
