I am requesting NFORC2 data along a nodal path in ABAQUS v. 6.8-1. I have turned off the thresholding in order to determine how each element contributes to the force at any node in the path definition. For example, if 1 node is associated with 4 elements, there will be 4 outputs of NFORC2, 1 for each element. The sum of these forces is zero in my problem. I would create a 'Free Body Cut', but this is not an option when using element type CAX4T. So I am doing this manually by using the force contributions from the elements on one side of the cut, not all of them.
Unlike using the query select option, which sequentially outputs each field variable according to the magnitude of the element label associated with a particular node, I haven't been able to figure out how the field variables are output using the path option when creating XY Data.
I am trying to automate the output process and knowing the output logic would help out a lot.
Has anyone ran into the problem before?
