Postdoctoral positions at Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Postdoctoral positions are open in Meng’s group at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Those having (about to get) a PhD degree in the areas of solid/fluid mechanics, wave dynamics, material engineering are welcome to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in smart materials and structures, fluid-structure interaction, as well as noise and vibration control.
1. Research Topics
(1) Noise and vibration control;
(2) Smart materials and structures;
(3) Fluid-structure acoustic interaction;
(4) Acoustic/Mechanical metamaterials and meta-structures;
(5) Analysis of mechanical system reliability;
(6) Mechanical system dynamics and control;
2. Essential Criteria
PhD degree in one of the following disciplines: Solid/Fluid Mechanics, Material Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Applied Physics.
(1) Got the PhD degree in less than 3 years and with an age below 35;
(2) Established track record in high-quality scientific publications;
(3) Evidence in research innovation and project organization;
(4) Available for a 2-3 years’ full-time post-doctoral research work;
(5) Skilled in CAE simulations, experiments, English reading and writing;
3. Package
(1) The annual salary (before tax) is not less than 300, 000 RMB. Candidates satisfying the eligibility will be supported to apply for the national and Shanghai Talent Program, and those who are funded will enjoy relevant benefits.
(2) Fringe benefits are subjected to the relevant post-doctoral regulations of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Bonuses will be provided according to the work performance.
(3) Postdoctoral research fellows can apply for research funding during their project work.
(4) Postdoctoral research fellows with outstanding academic achievements will be recommended to apply for faculty positions in the university when they complete a three-years contracts.
