Registration is now open for this year's midwest mechanics workshop:
This annual workshop is an effort that was started 4 years ago to bring together mechanics researchers from the Midwestern region and has a distinctly educational character to it. It is a one-day workshop co-organized by faculty from several Midwestern universities. The keynotes for the two sessions will be from Michael Ortiz (CalTech) and Heinrich Jaeger (U Chicago) and we have other highly regarded speakers scheduled to talk on cutting-edge and emerging areas in mechanics research. Their tentative fields and schedule are provided on the workshop website.
Please register and advise your students to do the same. It would also be helpful if you could forward the information to others in your university who may be interested. Thank you for your help and your participation will be critical to the success of this workshop. For more information, please contact: Shuwang Li at sli at math.iit.edu.
