Postdoctoral associate position in computational mechanics at RPI

The Center for Modeling Simulation and Imaging in Medicine (CeMSIM) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a postdocotoral associate position to work on projects related to fast computational methods in solid mechanics. Desirable qualifications for this postion includes, but is not limited to the following:

1. PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics or related field.

2. Background in linear complementarity problems

3. Strong background in numerical linear algebra, particularly multigrid methods.

4. Excellent C++ skills

5. An unmistakeable passion for solving hard problems in creative and insightful ways. A strong interest in learning about and playing with the very latest technologies in computational and applied mechanics.
