Temporary Researcher Positions in Mechanical Engineering - University of California, Santa Barbara
The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for temporary research positions in the Specialist, Project Scientist, and Researcher titles. This is a pooled recruitment, and appointments are subject to availability of funding and departmental needs, and may be part-time or full-time. Screening of applicants will occur as needed, for full consideration apply by March 2, 2016.
Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related STEM field. Successful applicants should have an outstanding research record or demonstrate potential in the areas of: Bioengineering and Systems Biology; Computational Science and Engineering; Dynamic Systems, Control and Robotics; Micro and Nanoscale Engineering; Solid Mechanics, Materials and Structures; and Thermal Sciences and Fluid Mechanics. A graduate degree or equivalent experience is required for Specialist appointments at the Assistant rank and above. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree conferred by the date of appointment is required for Project Scientists and Professional Researchers. Salary will be dependent upon qualifications.
