Submitted by dezerald on

Title: Ab initio study of plasticity in body-centered cubic metals

We are looking for a PhD student to work on dislocation plasiticity in BCC metals using atomic-scale simulations. We use ab initio calculations to investigate atomic-scale dislocation properties and their consequence on BCC metals plasticity. The position requires holding a MS or ME with knowledge in quantum physics, solid state physics and/or materials science. See summary, context and references in attached pdf file for more information.
