Dear abaqus users,
I would like to know if it is possible to specify solution dependent boundary conditions in abaqus? Let me explain my question in detail.
If I have an inclined cantilever beam, and a non uniofrm traction is applied along the beam in downward direction. As the beam moves downward, I want to constrain the nodes that reach certain height from datum to not to move further in y- direction. The loading is done in a single step with few increments. during these increments the condition (y-coordinate of the nodes <= specified height) should be tested and all those nodes satisfying the condition should be fixed at that moment.
I beleive that this should be possible to do in abaqus, but could not find the procedure in abaqus documentation. Please let me know if any of you know how to go about it.
