A research position for a Postdoctoral Research Associate is now available at the working group of Continua Mechanics at the TU Darmstadt, Germany, led by Professor Dr.-Ing. Charalampos Tsakmakis.
The position is fulltime fixed-term for two years.
The main task is the development of a thermodynamical consistent constitutive model for micropolar and micromorphic
plasticity and its numerical implementation into a finite element environment. Preliminary work has been done, so that a
satisfactory closure is possible within the given scope of two years.
Applicants should match the following requirements:
- PhD or Doctoral Degree
- deep knowledge of nonlinear Continuum Mechanics
- deep knowledge of Tensor Calculus
- deep knowledge of Thermodynamics
- experience with finite element programming in FORTRAN
