The Institute of Materials Research in Geesthacht (near Hamburg), Germany, invites applications for a Scientific
researcher m/f.
The position is initially limited for one year with the possibility of
an additional three-year-extension (starting as soon as possible).

In an international scientific team you will work on the
computational modeling of material behavior. You will work in close
collaboration with scientists of other disciplines as well as with
external users. You should be a team player, and have excellent
communication and organizational skills. The applicant has to have a
master degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mathematics,
physics, materials science or related areas. Applications from graduate
post-docs are also most welcome.



Experiences in continuum
mechanics and finite element methods are required. We expect basic
knowledge of continuum mechanics, finite element methods and good
English language skills. German language skills are an asset.
