Dear all,
I am a new user to abaqus and I am having a problem with determining impact force time history due to dynamic impact.
I have model a pile with solid linear elements and try to hit it with a analytical rigid body by givin a predefined velocity. As first abaqus asked to enter mass I applied point mass at rigid body reference point. Modelling was done in Abaqus explicit. My problem is when I see output results it provides displacement and velocity time history of of rigid body in an acceptable manner but shows zero impact force time history both in rigid body and for every pier elements.
Please help me as this is very much required to complete my research.
