DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The University of New Brunswick, Department of Mechanical Engineering, invites applicants for a tenure stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level with specialization in Solid Mechanics and Finite-Element Modeling. Duties in the Department will include teaching undergraduate courses in the core Mechanical Engineering curriculum, offering courses in the area of the appointee’s research specialty at the senior undergraduate and/or graduate level, and conducting research. The Department currently has approximately 300 undergraduate students and 50 full-time graduate students. In addition to a standard Mechanical Engineering program, options in Mechatronics, Biomedical and Nuclear and Power Plant Engineering are also offered. The appointee must have completed an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated achievements in research and teaching, as well as design experience, will be assets. The appointee shall be eligible and willing to become a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of New Brunswick.
