Apply toward PhD position

Submitted by iman.dayyani on

Dear viewer, I was wondering if you can help me by introducing me toward a PhD position in a good university.

If you are interested please let me know to send you my resume.

I am a Master of Science
student in Mechanical Engineering in Isfahan University of Technology, Iran and
I'm expected to graduate on September 2011.

Searching through your
web page, I realized that my interests are completely in line with yours, such
as: Composite Materials, Nano composites, Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis,
and Structural Mechanics. I have passed extensive courses in mechanics with
excellent scores, like finite element method, numerical methods, fracture
mechanics and theory of shell and plates.

I want to apply to the Graduate Programs in
University of Alberta for spring 2012 or fall 2012. As you can see
from my attached resume, I was in the group of the best students of our
department and my total GPA is 17.38 out of 20 in Bachelor’s degrees and I was
accepted for Master's degree without participating in wide national entrance
exam. My total GPA in Master's degree so far is 17.29 out of 20, too. I have
teaching experience in "Vibration" ,"Computer aided design, ABAQUS",
"Statics " and "Engineering mechanics of solids" as a
teacher assistant. I have participated in TOEF IBT exam in May 2011
and the score was 93 with following details:

Ø  Writing:   27/30

Ø  Speaking: 23/30

Ø  Listening: 22/30

Ø  Reading:   21/30

Furthermore, I have prepared two papers on my M.Sc. project: "Numerical
and Experimental Investigations on Mechanical Behavior of Composite Corrugated
Core" submitted to journal of Applied Composite Materials
and ''Numerical and Experimental Investigations on Mechanical Behavior of
Composite Corrugated Core Coated with Elastomer face".

   Moreover,
I have submitted a paper on my project in theory of shell and plates,
"unilateral buckling of triangular plates on elastic foundation" to
journal of annuals of solids and structure.  I would be grateful if you
could assess my abilities and background through my attached CV and see if you
could accept me as a PhD student for spring 2012 or fall 2012.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards.
