I have the following problem. I simulate an indentation in two steps. At first step the indenter penetrate to the material. At the second step it withdraws from it. The problem, at the second step force simply drops, although the behaviour of material is elasto-plastic.. What could be the reason? Incorrect boundary conditions, very soft behaviour of material??? Specialists, please help.

it is not very obvious what do you mean by saying it simply drops?
Depending on the ratio sY/E (yield strength over Young's modulus) it may actually simply drop as you say.
I think that you are getting the corresct result

When i said that the force droped, i means that when the indenter is removing from the body, the force simply decreasing without removing elastic deformation, the relation of SY/E in my case is 0.0074,
What do you think about it?
