Postdoctoral position in the field of Ultra High Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete
The Czech Technical University in Prague - University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings, offers one postdoctoral positions in the fields of modeling, simulation, assessment, and optimization of multi-functional materials and structures.
The present project will be supervised by a mentor from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The project is supported by the European Union, through the Operational Program Research and Development for Innovations, project No. CZ.1.07/2.3.00/30.0034.
Hollow cylinder v/s Solid cylinder
I have a cylinder of length 310 mm, diameter 60 mm, Outer radius 30mm, inner radius 3 mm and thickness 27mm and Young's modulus 20GPa. I am interested to calculate change of displacement in both hollow and solid cylinder. However, the value I am getting in hollow cylinder is less than solid cylinder. Any idea why so? wherein the deformation magnitude of hollow cylinder should be quite greater than the solid one?
Thanks,
Post-doctoral Research Fellow
Applications are invited for a position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will perform research in the areas of advanced computational fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interaction. A Ph.D.in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Applied Math., Civil Engineering, Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering or other related disciplines is required.
DFLUX
Hello,enginner:
Can use body flux and surface flux together in ABAQUS?
Thanks!
Can anybody share a model file extension for powder compaction using DPC model

Need to know information about Hermite cubics & shape function
I am doing my research in nonlinear vibration of beams. In that research, I have to derive the shape function for different end conditions of the beam. Regarding this,I need some ideas. Are there books I can reference?
Regarding my research work, I need to know about hermite cubics in Fem. Can any one suggest a book regarding this?

Can anyone help me to get the following book?
Hi ,
I am doing phd in nonlinear vibration. Regarding my thesis, I want to refer the following book
"Analytical and numerical methods for vibration analysis" by "Jong-Shyong"
Since the cost of this book is very costly, I am not able to afford this book. I am ready to buy the used copy of this book also.
Can anyone have used copy of this book?
If anyone have, plz provide the photocopy of that book.
If anyone knows, free download copy of the book, plz let me know
