Opening at Harvard Medical School on Device Characterization & Development

The Traverso Laboratory is seeking a mechanical/biomedical reseach engineer to join the team focused on the development of novel gastrointestinal (GI) devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing and analyzing mechanical systems and materials for biological application.

Our lab is currently developing the next generation of biomedical devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics for sensing and monitoring. These disruptive technologies will impact the lives of many, helping treat chronic illnesses, minimize side effects, and improve patient compliance for long and cumbersome treatment regimens.

The Traverso Laboratory is seeking a PhD-level mechanical/biomedical engineer to join the team focused on the development of novel gastrointestinal devices for treatment of major diseases. This includes technologies such as drug delivery systems, smart pills and stents, soft actuators, and ingestible electronics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems and materials for biological application.
