Are you interested in undertaking a PhD in the interdisciplinary field of computational cardiovascular biomechanics? If so, there are positions available in my research group and details are provided below.

The Computational Multi-Physics Coupled Analysis Laboratory at Kyushu Institute of Technology, which is located in Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan, is currently offering the funded Ph.D. position, with start date of Spring/Fall 2024. The successful candidate will carry out researches in the areas of computational mechanics for biomimetics, and coupled multi-physics problems such as flying insects and energy harvesting. Newton International Fellowships are prestigious postdoctoral fellowships for researchers who want to work in the UK. The scheme is accepting applications now with a deadline of 28th March 2023. The fellowship provides three years of research funding, and only those with a PhD from outside of the UK are eligible. A short 5-month postdoc position is available in my Computational Biomechanics Research Group at the University of Glasgow. The project is aimed at combining image segmentation with biomechanical calculations and requires experience in scientific code development and nonlinear biomechanics.
