PhD positions in computational cardiovascular biomechanics at University of Glasgow

Are you interested in undertaking a PhD in the interdisciplinary field of computational cardiovascular biomechanics? If so, there are positions available in my research group and details are provided below.

Newton Fellowship in computational cardiovascular biomechanics

Newton International Fellowships are prestigious postdoctoral fellowships for researchers who want to work in the UK. The scheme is accepting applications now with a deadline of 28th March 2023. The fellowship provides three years of research funding, and only those with a PhD from outside of the UK are eligible. More details and eligibility criteria are available at https://royalsociety.org/grants-schemes-awards/grants/newton-international/

Postdoc position at University of Glasgow (Deadline 14th February 2022)

A short 5-month postdoc position is available in my Computational Biomechanics Research Group at the University of Glasgow. The project is aimed at combining image segmentation with biomechanical calculations and requires experience in scientific code development and nonlinear biomechanics.

Interested candidates can apply via https://my.corehr.com/pls/uogrecruit/erq_jobspec_version_4.jobspec?p_id=076448 and the deadline is 14th February 2022.

Postdoc position at University of Glasgow

A one-year postdoc position is available in my Computational Biomechanics Research Group at the University of Glasgow. The project is aimed at combining image segmentation with biomechanical calculations and requires experience in scientific code development and nonlinear biomechanics.

Postdoc position in soft tissue mechanics, Swansea University UK

A postdoctoral researcher position is open in my group to work on multi-scale and inverse models for soft tissues and heart valve mechanics. The aim of this research will be to develop models that predict aortic stenosis - the most common valve-related disease that affects 5% of the elderly. The project is funded through the research council of UK, and will provide opportunities of working closely with clinicians and experimental collaborators.
