Full scholarships available at European Commission funded workshop on fracture and damage mechanics in Antalya / Turkey

European Commission' s JRC (Joint Research Centre) is organizing the 2nd workshop on physics based modeling of material properties and experimental observations in collaboration with TOBB University of Economics and Technology. The workshop will be held in Antalya/Turkey on 15-17 May 2013, and the special focus will be fracture and damage mechanics.

The Workshop will include lectures by keynote speakers: Wolfgang Brocks (CAU, Germany), Jonas Faleskog (KTH, Sweden), John W. Hutchinson (Harvard University, USA), Jean-Baptiste Leblond (Université Paris VI, France), Boris Margolin (Prometey, Russia), Christian Miehe (University of Stuttgart, Germany), Tarık Ömer Oğurtanı (METU, Turkey), Thomas Pardoen (UCL, Belgium) and Maxime Sauzay (CEA Saclay, France) and presentations by participants (oral or posters).

There is no registration fee for the workshop. The refreshments at the coffee breaks, the lunches and the work-shop dinner will be free of charge for all participants. There will be travel grants for participants coming from the target countries of European Commission's Enlargement & Integration Action. Please check the flyer for the list of target countries.
