Postdoctoral Position Available at Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi: Mechanics of Nanocomposite and Nanostructured Materials

A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately at the SMART MASDAR Laboratory (Smart Materials for Advanced and Revolutionary Technologies) at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. Masdar Institute is established in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This research project focuses on microstructural-based simulations and experimental fabrication and characterization of micro- and nano-composite materials (e.g., metals with dispersed micro and nano inclusions, polymers with nano-filaments such as carbon nanotubes and nanofibers, nanostructured metals). Those with a background in computational micro- and nano-mechanics, material constitutive modeling, and fabrication and characterization of advanced materials are encouraged to apply.
