Faculty Positions in Solid Mechanics, Structural Dynamics & Aeroelasticity at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology invites nominations and applications for two faculty positions in the areas of solid mechanics, structural dynamics, and aeroelasticity.  Appointments at all ranks will be considered. While candidates in all related areas of research will be considered, candidates with a strong experimental background are particularly sought.

An earned doctorate in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field is required.  The successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, supervise graduate students, and interact with the faculty on the development of externally funded research programs. Applications will be reviewed continuously until the positions have been filled.

The School of Aerospace Engineering presently has 40 full-time faculty members, and its undergraduate and graduate programs are nationally ranked among the top aerospace engineering programs. The research interests of the faculty cover a broad spectrum of aerospace engineering disciplines, including gas dynamics, propulsion, combustion, aerodynamics, structural mechanics, flight dynamics, control, and systems engineering.
