Ryan C. Hurley takes the role of the next Editor of iMechanica Journal Club

Ryan C. Hurley of the Johns Hopkins University will be the next Editor of the iMechanica Journal Club. The Journal Club was initiated in January 2007, soon after the launch of iMechanica. It has quickly grown into a flagship feature of iMechanica, epitomizing the vibrant topics and dynamic researchers at the frontier of mechanics.

We are excited to have Ryan as the newest addition to a succession of excellent Editors. A recipient of the NSF CAREER Award (2020) and AFOSR Young Investigator Program Award (2022), Ryan develops and uses novel experiments and numerical models to study the mechanical behavior and failure mechanisms of granular materials, rocks, concrete, and ceramics. We look forward to his leadership, as well as another great year of the iMechanica Journal Club.
