Dear colleagues,

We'd like to invite you to participate in the Minisymposium on "317-Mechanics of Multifunctional Low-dimensional Materials" at the 19th US National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNC/TAM), to be held in Austin, Texas from June 19 to 24, 2022. The deadline for abstract submission is January 31 2022.

This symposium aims to bring together experts from mechanics and material science communities to exchange ideas on the fundamental understanding of the mechanical and physical properties, coupled with the deformation of low-dimensional materials as well as the challenges and strategies on integration of these basic building blocks to macroscopic level. Presentations are invited covering experimental characterization, testing, theoretical and computational modeling of mechanical behavior of low-dimensional materials as well as the role of mechanics in their interactions with other materials.

Look forward to your abstracts!

Minisymposium organizers

Wei Gao, The University of Texas at San Antonio

Chenglin Wu, Missouri University of Science and Technology

Qing Tu, Texas A&M

Fatemeh Ahmadpoor, New Jersey Institute of Technology

Yingchao Yang, The University of Maine
