SYMPOSIUM ON SOLID MECHANICS

Dr. Hamid Akbarzadeh (McGill University) and Dr. Jason Carey (University of Alberta)

 

THE SYMPOSIUM

The Solid Mechanics Technical Committee of Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) invites you to submit a paper or an abstract to the 2022 CSME International Congress to be held at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, June 5-8 2022. The Symposium on Solid Mechanics focuses on a variety of theoretical, computational, and experimental aspects of solid mechanics studies as they apply to the following areas:

·       Advanced materials and composites

·       Metamaterials & Multifunctional structures

·       Cellular solids

·       3D Printed lightweight materials and structures

·       Multiscale and multiphysics modelling

·       Biomaterials

 

ABSTRACT/PAPER SUBMISSION

The submissions to the Congress are in two formats:

·       Abstract: 400-word maximum (no full paper submission will be required) or

·       Full-length paper: 6-page maximum (Full-length paper submissions can be considered in the Student Paper Competition and/or Special Issue of Transactions of the CSME)

Please submit your paper/abstract/workshop in PDF format (templates on www.csmecongress.org) to the appropriate track (Solid Mechanics) for consideration.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

·       February 11, 2022        Submission of Abstract/Full Paper 

·       March 8, 2022             Notification of Acceptance to Authors

·       April 8, 2022               Early Bird Registration Deadline
