Postdoc position at UC Merced

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and qualified postdoctoral researcher to work on modeling and simulations for metallic additive manufacturing. 

Qualifications: Applicants must have strong background in computational mechanics, including modeling and numerical simulations for manufacturing processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Preference will be given to those applicants with prior research experience in additive manufacturing, cold spray, laser material interactions, or metallurgy. Experience in thermo-mechanics, machine learning, or meshfree numerical methods is a plus. This postdoc researcher will be supevised by Prof. Yanbao Ma at University of California Merced and collaborate with research scientists from Ansys and Professor Rui Huang from the University of Texas at Austin.
