Postdoctoral Position at UCLA in mechanics/machine learning/computational science

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with a background in solid mechanics, machine learning, computational science, or relevant fields to work at the intersection of mechanics, machine learning (ML), and/or manufacturing. If the candidate has no proven record in ML, he/she should have the confidence and a track record to quickly master analytical and software tools in new fields. The postdoctoral fellow will work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. He/she will be supervised by Prof. M. Khalid Jawed (Structures-Computer Interaction Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and co-advised by Prof. Vwani Roychowdhury (Complex Networks Group of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering). Both the groups are located at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The fellow is expected to maintain collaboration with the Smart Manufacturing Institute at UCLA.
