Jie Yin will be the next Editor of iMechanica Journal Club

Jie Yin of North Carolina State University will be the next Editor of the iMechanica Journal Club. The Journal Club was initiated in January 2007, soon after the launch of iMechanica. It has quickly grown into a flagship feature of iMechanica, epitomizing the vibrant topics and dynamic researchers at the frontier of mechanics.

We are excited to have Jie to be the newest addition to a succession of excellent Editors. His research focuses on both fundamental mechanics and functionality of novel materials and structures at all scales (https://jieyin.wordpress.ncsu.edu/). His most recent recognition is the US NSF CAREER Award in 2018 and the Extreme Mechanics Letters Young Investigator Award in 2017.  We look forward to his leadership, as well as another great year of iMechanica Journal Club.
