Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow – New Instrument Design

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow opening with Prof. Anson Ma at the University of Connecticut (UCONN). Highly motivated individuals who are interested in designing and commercializing new instruments are encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities:

(i)        To refine the designs of several patentable instruments related to 3D printing and viscosity measurements

(ii)      To build and test the instrument prototypes

(iii)    To assist with filing invention disclosure and patent application, writing journal articles and grant proposals, and liaising with potential investors

Required Qualifications: PhD in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Prior research experience with machine design and commercialization is preferred.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
