Call for Abstracts

International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE)
San Diego, CA
Nov 15-21, 2013

The Nanoengineering for Energy and Sustainability (NEES) Steering Committee invites you to participate in an exciting IMECE 2013 program that will bring together cutting-edge advances in nanoengineering with applications across multiple energy technologies.  

IMECE 2013 will feature technical sessions, panel sessions, invited speakers, the Society-Wide Micro and Nanotechnology Forum, and much more.  Abstracts presenting new, scientifically challenging, and NEES-relevant work are sought at all levels (full paper, extended abstract, and presentation only) particularly in the following topics:

Nanoengineering for Energy and Sustainability (Track 11, Topic 10)
        -> Nanomorphology Effects on Energy Storage Performance
        -> 3-Dimensional Porous Nanostructures for Energy Applications 
        -> Nanostructured Thermoelectrics and Thermal Storage
        -> Multiscale Mechanics of Rechargeable Batteries
        -> Process Simulation & Energy Efficiency in Nanomaterials Processing
        -> Etc.
Heat Transfer in Energy Systems (Track 9, Topic 1)
Nanoscale Thermal Transport (Track 9, Topic 3)
Nanomanufacturing (Track  2, Topic 15)

Instructions / Schedule

Technical Paper:  Potential authors are encouraged to submit a 400 word abstract through the conference website by Feb 14, 2013. During the submission, the author will have the chance to select the appropriate track and topic (shown above).  Abstract acceptance notifications will be provided by March 4, 2013.  Full-length draft papers, formatted in accordance with the ASME Author Guidelines, are due by April 15, 2013. 

Presentation Only / Poster:  Abstracts for ‘presentation only’ or poster presentations will be due by June 10, 2013.
