We kindly invite you to submit an abstract to the Special Session CST2012-S10: Damage Identification Methods, part of The Eleventh International Conference on Computational Structures Technology.

The main objective of this Special Session is to bring together researchers who develop methods for structural damage detection, location, and quantification using, among others, vibrational characteristics. These methods can integrate a boarder structural health monitoring technique or be seen as standalone techniques.

Although the main purpose is the presentation of numerical methods, numerical/experimental ones and applications of experimental techniques to damage detection are also welcomed.

The Conference will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 4-7 September 2012.

The instructions for submission of abstracts are here: http://www.civil-comp.com/conf/auth12.htm.

The authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in special issues of Computers & Structures and Advances in Engineering Software.

A Young Researcher Best Paper Prize will be awarded to the best paper presented at the conference.

This Special Session is being organized by me and Prof. Hernani M. R. Lopes from ESTiG – Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Portugal.
