POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION IN COMPUTATIONAL SOLID MECHANICS

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks highly qualified applicants for a post-doctoral research position in computational solid mechanics.  The successful candidate will participate in a project on lifetime prediction of turbine blades.

Qualifications:

1.    A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or Solid Mechanics or a related area is required.

Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Computational Materials Science at the University of North Texas

The College of Engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks outstanding applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions in computational materials science in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The particular area of interest are: (i) atomistic modeling of material behavior; and (ii) computational modeling of material behavior at the microstructural level, for example, evolution of microstructure, phase transformations, micro-scale deformation and fracture processes in metals, ceramics and/or polymers.
