Looking for PhD/internship position on magnetic based (Barkhausen noise, coercitivity) fatigue damage evaluation

program, which I wrote, was capable of predicting residual life for the tower crane
structures in real-time. The core of it consisted of the Palmgren-Miner rule and data
for S-N curves. Neural networks through the data recorded by an on-board
computer (logger) generated stress ranges. The main advantage of using neural networks
in this case is the possibility of processing huge amounts of information.
Due to recent changes in EN 13000 all the mobile cranes ought to be equipped with loggers
thereby offered solution could be of interest.
