New York Times tears down the pay wall of TimesSelect
Submitted by Zhigang Suo on Sun, 2007-09-30 14:27.While I have been traveling, writing papers, and submitting proposals for the last few months, I have not been keeping up with readings. Just notice today an old news: News York Times has just made even more content free online. For example, without subscription you can read columns of Tom Friedman, the author of The World is Flat. You can make links to them to share with other people. For example, his column today is titled 9/11 Is Over.

How to generate a permanent link to an article in the New York Times?
Submitted by Zhigang Suo on Sun, 2007-02-25 13:27.Almost all articles in the New York Times are free online, for about a week, and then go behind the pay wall. However, NYT permits readers to generate permanent links to individual articles. Here is a link generator created by Aaron Swartz. Paste the URL of an NYT article into the box, and click "Go". You will see a the URL of the permanent link to the article. You should use this permanent link in your blog posts.
