I am using Abaqus for modelling. I have created two parts, one of them is profiled steel sheet and the second one is dry board. the dry board is supposed to be attached to the profiled steel by means of some screws. In this regard, I have created the Datum Points in the position of the screws in both profiled steel sheet and dry board sheet and then assembled two parts as independents part. consequently, my next job is to create Spring/dashpots from the interaction module, but i got that the Spring could be created only on nodes. since i have extrude the respective sections to the desirable length, i do not have nodes in required points. How to create Spring for the points inside the sheets?
