A postdoctoral fellow is sought to study the mechanics of magnesium alloys at the University of Waterloo, Canada, under the guidance of Dr. Worswick and Dr. Gracie. The qualified applicant will have a proven background in experimental mechanics and material characterization, substantiated by publications in international journals.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience with the study of HCP metals at high strain rates.  In addition, experience with user material subroutines in LS-DYNA, ABAQUS or ANSYS is desirable.  Candidates without an experimental background will not be considered.
