Symposium Description: This symposium will encompass recent developments in analytical, experimental and numerical analysis of mechanics of thin film and multi-layer materials. Topics of interests include, but not limited to stress and deformation in thin films and their measurement, mechanical properties, fracture and fatigue, interfacial delamination, adhesion, hardness, toughness, creep, thin film patterning, mechanical stabilities and reliability. Both fundamental research and practical applications of thin film and multi-layer materials are welcome.
