Revision of Why should I use my full name as my user name? from Thu, 2007-07-05 07:36
The revisions let you track differences between multiple versions of a post.
iMechanica follows a long established tradition in scholarly publishing: most authors use their real names instead of pseudonyms.
Your user name will appear every time you post in iMechanica. To help others to recognize your name and remember it, you may want to use your full name as your user name, case sensitive and with spacing. For example, enter your user name like Jane W. Smith, rather than janewsmith or jws or smith2007.
Using your full name with proper spacings will also help others search for you. Also, if you use your full name as your user name, you will never forget your user name!
If you have already signed up with a user name other than your full name, you can change your user name by clicking "my account" at the top left corner, and then clicking the tab "edit".
