The Adhesion Society will hold its 32nd Annual Meeting in Savannah, GA February 15-18, 2009; uniting chemists, physicists, mechanists, engineers, and biologists concerned with the design and characterization of materials interfaces and their associated property of adhesion.  Adhesion and interfacial constrol are key to the development of nano- and bio- based technologies as well structural and cosmetic applications that influence society in everyday life. 

Recent examples of symposia topics include: polymer nanocomposites, bioadhesion, pressure sensitive adhesion, microelectronics, and particle adhesion.  The Society recognizes scientists at all stages of scientific careers for their contribution to adhesion science through several awards, which are especially supportive of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.  More information is available at www.adhesionsociety.org.  Short (150 - 200 word) abstracts are due by September 22, 2008.
