I would like to know the difference between Effective Strain, Effective Plastic Strain and Effective Failure Strain.

Effective strain is also called true strain. Phsically, it is represented by the stress over the net area.
Effective plastic strain is related to J2-plasticity. Mathematically, it is equal to Sqrt (2.0*eps(d)*eps(d)/3.0) , where eps(d) is the deviatoric strain.
Effective failure strain is the effecive strain at failure (or peak stress).
