A postdoctoral research associate position is available starting October 1st at the Department of Engineering in Cambridge. The successful candidate will work on a project on parallel numerical methods for fluid-structure interaction with application to life sciences.

The candidate should have a PhD in Computational Mechanics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field. Strong background in nonlinear mechanics, finite elements, C/C++ software development and high performance computing are expected. Although not required, experience in biological fluid dynamics, computational geometry and domain decomposition methods are desirable.

The position is for up to three years.
