Progress Report for International Journal of Applied Mechanics (IJAM)

Dear Collogues,
This is to inform you of the progress of the International Journal of Applied Mechanics (IJAM). Since the launch of the IJAM in Dec. 2008, it has received a substantial number of manuscript submissions from around the world. All manuscript submissions to IJAM are handled electronically via the Editorial Manager (EM) which is one of the industry standard systems. EM system provides a full online solution for manuscript submission, peer-review, and tracking.

From Dec. 1, 2008 to Nov. 30, 2009, IJAM has received total 200 manuscript submissions. Among the total manuscript submissions, 149 manuscripts have been sent to reviewers for peer-review process. The review process of IJAM requires that each manuscript be reviewed by at least two anonymous external reviewers. After peer-review process, 52 papers (to date of 30/11/2009) have been accepted for publication in the IJAM. The IJAM has published 4 issues and total 38 papers with higher quality have been published in 2009. The papers in the first four issues consist of: 17 from North America, 8 from Europe, 14 from Asia, 2 from Mideast and 2 from Australia.

Now, all published articles are indexed by INSPEC (Ei), Google and Google Scholar, therefore providing the maximum exposure to the articles. Moreover, the electronic content of IJAM can be accessed through CrossRef, SwetsWise, EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service, CNPIEC, OCLC FirstSearch, J-Gate and CEPIEC, which are world leading data bases. We are making effort and we hope that IJAM would be indexed by SCI by the end of 2010.

We are confident of the IJAM journal’s rapid success in the future. Thank you very much for your efforts on promoting the IJAM.
