http://www.imechanica.org/node/5720 Comments for "Cohesive Elements in ABAQUS" en http://www.imechanica.org/node/5720 <p> I am a fairly new user to ABAQUS, and am running into a great deal of difficulty when trying to create a model and embed or create cohesive elements into the model. </p> <p> I started by creating a 2-D part, and then creating an orphan mesh of that part.&nbsp; From there I do not know how to create the elements, from which I can assign them to a cohesive element type.&nbsp; I am just wanting to simulate a bulk material held together by some adhesive.&nbsp; I want to assign the appropriate damage/softening properties to the adhesive and then run the job and hopefully get a stress strain curve to validate thoes properties...
