Thanks a lot for your kind notice, I have changed the username under your suggestion. As I usually use the last name for comuunication with others, I did not notify this policy in imechanica. iMechanica aims to enhance communication among mechanicians. Many people know each other offline, through conferences and reading each other's papers.

Your user name will appear every time you post an entry or a comment. It helps others to recognize and remember your name if your user name is identical to your full name, as you normally spell it. For example, it is easier to recognize Sandip Haldar than sandiphaldar.

If you do decide to switch your user name to your full name, simply click "my account" at the top left corner, and then click the tab "edit". Then replace your user name with your full name.

iMechanica follows a long established tradition in scholarly publishing: most authors use their real names instead of pseudonyms.

Your user name will appear every time you post in iMechanica. To help others to recognize your name and remember you, you may want to use your full name as your user name, case sensitive and with spacing. For example, enter your user name like Jane W. Smith, rather than janewsmith or jws or smith2007.

Also, if you use your full name as your user name, you will never forget your user name!

If you have already signed up with a user name other than your full name, you can change your user name by clicking "my account" at the top left corner, and then clicking the tab "edit".

iMechanica identifies each user account by a user number. For example, Jane W. Smith is user number 4. All other aspects of the account can be changed, including your user name, photo, email address, and profile.
