I am a mechanical engineer specialised in stress analysis, FEA. I just learned SOLID SHELL type of element last year. The main software I use for my FEA is ANSYS. SOLSH190 is the SOLID SHELL element type in ANSYS. I am not familiar with the mathmatical background of this type of elements. I would really like to know the pros & cons, limitation of SOLID SHELL elements. Or anyone's experience of using SOLSH190 element type in particular.
