Hi everyone this is my first blog. I am a structural engineering student working on my dissertation which involves Reinforced concrete modelling on ANSYS. My model is an external edge collumn-beam connection and basically I have difficulties modelling the reinforcement.  I managed to model and mesh concrete and now I have to create the reinforcement using elements along the mesh nodes. My main problem is that I don't know how to cut through the beam or column and create cross section views so that I can pick the correct nodes within the concrete block and create the elements. Anyone who knows how to do this please reply and help on the steps I have to follow to achieve this.
