Inclined Concrete Filled Steel Tube columns
Submitted by Sonu J K on Tue, 2011-06-14 05:13.Hai friends, I'm doing my project by using software ABAQUS 6.8.1.I
modelled an inclined concrete filled steel tube column, i.e, concrete is
filled in steel tube and the filling of concrete two plates have been
used on two edges of the CFST column. The column is inclined nine degree
to the global axis. Concrete is 3D solid extruded and steel tube is 3D
shell. This is done on non-linear material property using the
Drucker-Prager option for concrete and plastic option for steel in
software ABAQUS. Boundary conditions are given in refernce points, fixed
at the bottom and displacement along vertical direction is allowed on
top. The load is applying perpendicular to the plane of top face of the
column,i.e point load.Static riks method is using for analysis. The
hydrostatic pressure
Submitted by Sonu J K on Wed, 2010-09-15 12:44.The software is Abaqus 6.8.1.i made a C3D20R plate model in this software.Applied hydrostatic pressure on one side of the plate boundary condition three edges fixed (eg:for a rectangular water tank, taking one side three edges fixed) . The figure shows uniformly distributed load on the plate. But it should be uniformly varying load. How to model a plate which is three edges fixed and hydrostatic pressure on one side of the plate.
hydostatic load

i tried to apply hydrostatic pressureon a plate. But the input file showes,it is distributed load .how can i get correct figure i.e, uniformly varying load on the plate
